Reheat
How to reheat your tamales
If your tamales get cold or if you got frozen tamales, you can reheat them to better enjoy their texture and flavor. Never reheat them on a convection or a gas oven because they will dry up. We recommend you to do it as follows:
Microwave oven. Take off the aluminum foil the tamales come wrapped with, if they come wrapped in waxed paper you can leave this on, put them in a plastic bag or a plastic container with a lid. Reheat for 2.5 minutes in the microwave oven. If you are reheating frozen tamales add 2.5 minutes and turn your tamales upside down to get an even result.
Steamer. Keep the aluminum foil or waxed paper wrapping your tamales. Place them in a pot with a steamer basket, colander or metal strainer. Fill with water without reaching the product level. Steam for 15 minutes. If you are reheating frozen tamales add 10 more minutes to get them on point.
